Meet Lukáš Záhoř from Fameplay TV

Let’s reintroduce Lukáš Záhoř, the Chief Producer of Fameplay TV, a Czech internet television available through its web platform, mobile applications, smart TV app, and YouTube. 

Unfortunately, producing non-mainstream content limited monetization opportunities. YouTube Ad revenue was an option, but the market was limited by only 10 million Czech speakers, product placement in edutainment was limited, and other platforms weren’t sufficient. Fameplay TV found themselves in a crisis.

We were no longer able to finance the production of loss-making edutainment.


Important to mention, that Lukáš’s mission at Fameplay is “to introduce and implement the best generative AI tools in real use cases for the media industry”. So the idea of trusting in AI was there even before Lukáš found Rask AI.

To improve financially, they needed to produce more videos while keeping costs down and increasing advertising revenue. Lukáš set the goal for the company: create 500 videos a week without turning on the camera. The question was how?

Finding Rask AI and paying the first bill

In March 2023, Fameplay discovered a new dubbing tool on a website that gathers information about AI products. Finding Rask AI was a historical moment for Fameplay TV.

Finding Rask AI was the moment we understood that our goal wasn’t to produce 500 new videos but to localize existing ones. We made our first payment. Many things have changed, but it was our first touch, and we’ve been heavy users ever since. We now produce almost 5,000 minutes of content using Rask AI for various cases.

How Fameplay TV Monetized 5 YouTube Channels in 3 Months

They started with “Životy slavných,” its Czech version, and dubbed it in English with Rask AI. This was a “bridge version” that was further dubbed into Spanish, German, Russian, Polish, French, etc.

Lukáš shared how they were able to monetize their content so quickly. First, by having a good topic and frequent releases, they were able to attract a significant audience. It usually takes a year of patience, but they managed it in three months thanks to this frequency. They also used Shorts to promote content.

Thanks to Rask AI, Fameplay TV shifted from producing local content to global content! Now they operate in 9 languages instead of 2 and manage over 100 content channels on 8 platforms.
