Fameplay TV is a Czech internet television available through its web platform, mobile applications, smart TV app, and YouTube. Specializing in 'infotainment,' Fameplay TV produces a range of content, including short video segments, longer narrative series, and live-action shows, aiming to entertain and inform their audience.
Besides crafting their diverse content, Fameplay TV also offers production services to various clients and partners, primarily collaborating with sports organizations such as Olympic teams, support groups, cultural entities, and individual creators.
Operating approximately 100 channels across eight platforms, Fameplay TV manages a significant volume of content production and distribution. However, as a Czech-based company, they soon hit a ceiling due to the limited size of the local market.
With only around 10 million Czech speakers, the available audience could not generate enough revenue to sustain the production costs. At the same time, the cost of traditional translation and dubbing was too prohibitive to consider. This situation was disheartening for the production team, who started considering shutting down some of the shows.
At this critical point, Rask AI emerged as a solution for localizing Fameplay’s content.

The process begins by converting episodes from Czech into English and removing complex phrases or idioms to simplify translation down the line. Afterwards, they adapt the content for other key markets, including Spanish, Portuguese, German, Russian, and French. The last step is creating highly shareable shorts from every episode.
A particularly successful example of this approach is “Životy slavných”, the 10-minute biographies show distributed by Fameplay TV. After the show gained over a hundred thousand subscribers in the Czech segment, the production team used Rask AI to translate and overdub the episodes into six other languages, each with its own YouTube channel.
In just three months, four of the channels became eligible for monetization on YouTube. To qualify for YouTube monetization, channels must amass a minimum of a thousand subscribers and 4,000 hours of watch time. Achieving this milestone in such a short period is remarkably fast, signifying high production quality and the demand for such content in diverse language markets.
With hundreds of channels in their portfolio, Fameplay TV is now working on implementing this strategy across a wider range of shows to boost their reach and revenue.
