Trailblazing 3D animator uses Rask AI to share knowledge

Salman Naseem is a telecom engineer, freelance animator, and educational content creator. In 2017, Salman started "HDsheet," his first YouTube channel with animation tutorials for Urdu and Hindi speakers, marking him as the first Pakistani YouTuber to do so. 

In a region where traditional career paths like engineering and medicine are predominant, Salman’s channel provides an alternative avenue for students and professionals. Nowadays, Salman’s mission extends beyond teaching animation; he seeks to raise awareness about the latest tech and its application in animation.

When I started out, there was no channel in Pakistan teaching cartoon making in Urdu. And my dream was to make it easier for my people to come in that field, because I have seen the potential of that field.

The challenge‍

Salman’s second YouTube channel, "Being Animator," aspired to tap into the English-speaking market by repurposing the content from "HDsheet." He faced a twofold challenge. 

First, his proficiency in English wasn't as strong as he wanted, affecting his connection with the new audience. Second, balancing his roles as an engineer and educator left little time for translating and editing his Urdu/Hindi tutorials for "Being Animator."  

This bottleneck in content production sparked Naseem's interest in finding an efficient solution. Being a long-time enthusiast of Artificial Intelligence, he was particularly drawn to AI tools for their potential to streamline his workflow. 

Salman’s primary goal was to find an AI tool that could accurately transcribe and translate his videos into English. Naseem tested several tools, seeking one that could not only ease his workload but also maintain the authenticity of his original content. He wanted translations that felt natural to his audience, ensuring that viewers wouldn't perceive the content as merely translated material but as genuinely created in their language.
