Version 2.0 is on another level. The emotion comes through in every line, and the voice sounds like a real person talking.
I tried Dubbing 2.0 and the voice is clearly better than the tool I use today. The dubbing itself is really strong.
Congrats on the 2.0 version. The results are really good!
I really love the new voices. There’s a softness to them that just sounds natural.
The pacing is so much better than in my past projects. Lines don’t feel rushed anymore.

Dubbing 1.0 vs 2.0
Same workflow, same minutes. A dub that sounds like the speaker said it.

Dubbing 2.0 is Rask's new dubbing engine, built on a meaning-first approach. It translates with the context of your whole script, adjusts each line to its timing, and voices it with a newer speech model, so the dub sounds like the speaker said it in the target language.
Dubbing 1.0 translates line by line and fits each line into its original slot, often by speeding the voice up or slowing it down. Dubbing 2.0 follows the meaning of the whole video, keeps the speaker's emotion and energy, and lets lines extend into natural pauses by up to 0.5 seconds.
29 target languages today: Arabic, Bulgarian, Chinese (Mandarin), Croatian, Czech, Danish, Dutch, English (US), Filipino, Finnish, French (France), German, Greek, Hindi, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Malay, Polish, Portuguese (Portugal), Romanian, Russian, Slovak, Spanish (Spain), Swedish, Tamil, Turkish and Ukrainian.
Regional variants such as Brazilian Portuguese, Latin American Spanish, British English and Canadian French use Dubbing 1.0 for now. When your target language supports Dubbing 2.0, you will see the option in the upload window.
No. Dubbing 2.0 uses the same minutes as Dubbing 1.0.
Anyone with an active paid subscription, in the Rask web app. In a Teamspace, every member gets Dubbing 2.0 under the owner's plan.
Dubbing 2.0 analyzes the full script before it voices a single line. That extra step takes a bit more time than Dubbing 1.0, and it is what lets the translation follow the meaning of the whole video.
Nothing changes. Existing projects keep the engine they were dubbed with, and files you already exported stay as they are. A full re-dub moves a project to Dubbing 2.0, while re-dubbing a single segment keeps its current engine.
